I have the honour to acknowledge

the receipt of your letter No. 33706/34 of the

7th April, regarding the Hong Kong 31% stock

1918/43, and to inform you that notice of the

intention to redeem the stock on the 15th October

will be advertised in the "Times" and the "London

Gazette" on Friday the 13th April. We will

then proceed to realize the investments held on

behalf of the 34% stock Sinking Fund, the Public

Works Loan Sinking Fund and the Surplus Funds.
